Therapeutic Laser Top Tip Gingivitis-Stomatitis

Laser therapy has been applied with significant results in the management of human patients affected by Oral Mucositis, where it has been effective in reducing inflammation, pain, severity and duration of ulceration. A recent paper has also demonstrated that NIR laser therapy could be usefully applied to treat cat mucositis.

Management of feline gingivitis-stomatitis requires a multimodal approach, with often invasive techniques, but laser therapy can be successfully included to reduce oral pain and inflammation.
