What are the benefits of an Ultrahead?

Many MLS laser users choose to upgrade their Mphi lasers to an Mphi 5 which includes an Ultrahead, also known as the Charlie head. When I worked in clinic, I was one of them and in this blog, I will outline the key benefits of adding an Ultrahead to your laser set up.

It’s really easy to add in if you already have an Mphi. The Ultrahead attaches to the trolley and simply plugs into ‘channel 2’ on the front of your existing Mphi laser unit.
You can use it at the same time as the handpiece so you can treat 2 areas at one time meaning…
It’s a time saver! Treat bilateral conditions in the same time it takes to treat unilateral conditions. You can also treat 2 areas on the same limb simultaneously giving maximum benefit for the patient.
There is potential to increase your income by charging more for treating 2 areas with no need to increase treatment time.
Gives a hands free treatment option allowing you to do manual treatment (or even write up notes!) while the Ultrahead does its job.
